History Of The West Ulverstone Football Club

W.U.F.C. Formed 1976 by a group consisting of Dave Jeffery, Chum Saltmarsh, Lindsay Walker.
First President: Dave Jeffery.
First Secretary: Daryl Blight.
First Treasurer: Lindsay Walker.
First Coach: Kelvin Clarke {seniors], Lewis McCulloch [reserves].

Kelvin took ill during the year Lewis McCulloch stepped up as senior coach, Tony Beamish the Reserves.
Played football on any ground available for home games in Leven Football Association till 1981 winner of the seconds Grand Final that year.
Then transferred to Ulverstone Showground and then in 1983 to the site of the club rooms is now.

In 1982 joined Darwin Football Association till 2002.
The most talked about year is the 1985 where they won both Seniors& Reserves Grand Final, took out all awards except the u/21 player award.
Club also won Reserves 1994 Grand Final under Michael Johnson.

The club since this time has not achieved much success really since then have promised a lot but not delivered.

The Bar and change rooms where built and opened 1986 on the 6th July.
